Hi I'm new to this place, having aquired Logic a couple of months ago, but just recently have run into a wealth of issues:

Firstly, when changing the output from headphones to monitor speakers (and vice versa) from my macbook, Logic decides to add about two seconds of latency to the armed recording track. I found I could get round this by switching the input to the in-built mic, then back again, but surely this shouldn't happen at all? Recorded phrases also suffer from latency, and I'm not sure how to remedy this either.

Secondly (and this only started today), when I try to use the midi instruments with the musical typing tool a spring reverb-type click comes into play, destroying any chance of a clean recording. Has anyone else heard of this?

They seem all to be linked in one way or another to latency, but I haven't managed to find many pointers in forums or troubleshooters. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers, Matt
