Anyone here records guitar/bass on Logic 8 using Line6's Pod X3 Live?

Do they go smooth together?

Any problems like the usb drop outs that is haunting some pod x3 users?

    How are you getting on?

I'm using (or attempting to...) use a Pod X3 with Logic 8... so far I've managed to get about the two working together for about 2 minutes before it all goes horribly wrong (no audio, distorted audio etc.). I have to say I'm really pretty disappointed so far.

It would be really useful to be able to record a clean signal, then process using Pod FX as Audio Units (which in theory is 'doable') but I've had no luck in trying to do anything other than update firmware, install apps etc.

There doesn't seem to be much help so far other than 're-install' everything and keep trying.

POD Farm looks like it could be such a great AU set, shame I haven't been able to get a sound out of it... The ability to deep-tweak settings in Gearbox would be great too but again, can't hear anything while tweaking so it's guesswork...

The issues are known, you are not alone... And I get the impression there are people out there that don't have any problems?

I just got an X3L a few days ago, haven't tried USB recording with it yet but I do know that USB dropouts are the #1 complaint of this unit and have been basically ignored by Line6 for the past year. So far we have just been using the Digital Out to record directly.

I have been recording with a Toneport UX previously and never had a problem with dropouts, so hopefully not all units are affected.
