The logic board in my MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018 model) has gone. It simply would not power up one day, and the Caps Lock light would not come on.

I took it back to the Apple Store and their genius's confirmed it was not the USB connector by replacing mine with a new part. They suggest it is the Logic Board (really annoying as I've not used it much in the 2.5 years I've had it). They said it will be £500 to replace the logic board.

Can anyone suggest another way to get this laptop working that will cost less?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I would take it to a place that can do board-level repairs and let them take a look.

Apple won't repair and re-install the parts.
