Hey everyone!

My late 2013 Macbook pro CPU is broken and needs to be replaced. I was hoping if someone could tell me if the CPU was different than the logic board? Also do you think it's worth replacing or should I get a new computer. I'm low budget, but I don't want to put $500+ into a new CPU just to find out something else is going to break in a month or two.

Thank you so much for any insight!

Just wondering, but how do you -know- that the problem is from the CPU?

I took it into the Apple store and a repair store and that's what both of them are telling me. They were like 95% sure not 100% though, but I guess that's the farthest it's impossible to know.

What graphics processors do you have?
If you have AND and Intel, the AMD is the problem. Do you get awhile screen or lines?

no the lines look fine. i'm pretty confident it's not a graphic card issue because the repair store checked that out. it just happens when the CPU heats up a little.
