Logic Express - Enter Music on Score

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to enter a piece of music from scratch straight onto a score in Logic Express? I know that I can edit the score of an existing piece of music, but can't work out if/how you can just start with a blank score.

Any advice much appreciated.
