Hello, I'm switching to Logic Express. I've read the manual, and I have my drum kits in a folder. I loaded it to a audio track, but how do I use my midi controller to control one drum sound?

For example in FL Studio, I would load the audio in a channel, then I can control it with my controller, how do I do the same in Logic?

Thanks a lot.

I am not sure what you mean as I have never used FL studio.

When you say you have your drums in a folder, do you mean a folder on your HD or a folder in Logic?

If you are plannng on putting your drums on an audio track they have to be audio, raw wavs/aiffs etc, and then they will need to be copied and edited by hand. If you want to play them with a keyboard then they need to be in a sampler like exs24 (although with Express you only get EXS24P soyou can't make up your own programs) or Battery/Kontakt.

You need to then put the sampler on an audio instrument track (not just an audio track) load up your sound into the sampler, and then you should be able to trigger your sounds from your midi keyboard....
