Logic Keeps Playing 2 Tracks, Not Wanted

I load one track with a bass, plays bass fine. Load track 2 with drums and suddenly the bass also plays the drums. Happens on many occasions, even when locking the bass. Using Kontakt instruments. I’m new with Logic, have inspected bus routes with no answer. Thanks

Do you mean that the bass track is triggering drum samples on the drums track? Assuming the bass track is a midi instrument track.

If so, look into the midi routing of both tracks - both input and output.
Sounds like your drum track is set to receive midi on all channels.

If your bass is playing the drums, the midi is routed wrongly.
Scrap your Kontact [for the purpose of testing].
Open up a new project, for example one of the templates.
Does everything play separately when you move between tracks? If yes (and I'm pretty sure it will be yes) it will be how Kontact is responding to incoming midi.
