Hi all, I use a M1 Mini with 16gb RAM as my studio computer and I've never had any performance issue until recently.
My workflow is mainly to record acoustic and/or midi instruments, and my set-up works extremely well for that, including when I have many tracks and multiple effects. However, on one of my recent projects I found useful to have use one of the stock multi channel kits (I don't think I used a session player, but I think I've encountered similar problems with that too) and all of a sudden my Mac is on its knees, stuttering, running out of memory, maxing CPU, the lot. Complete mayhem.
I haven't yet explored this on other forums as I thought I ask here first. As far as you know is this a know bug, or are these drum setups so extremely demanding to require am M5 with 64gb just to run a simple drum track?
Thanks
