whats going on macrumors

I'm running Logic on my MBP. Though I connect my guitar directly to the computer, I'm looking for an audio interface..

My question is, how do these different audio interfaces that come with different recording software be compatible with logic? It still will, right? I was thinking of getting the M-audio Fast Track Pro to run it.. but will it be a better choice to run with something that is designed with Logic? Like, Apogee Duet?

I'm a real beginner at the home/mobile recording kind of stuff, any help from all you experienced guys is appreciated, thanks in advance!

What is your budget?

A lot of Logic users do have Apogee Duet and swear by it.

I see you want to connect a guitar. Do you already have effect pedals and etc? Try NI Guitar Rig 3. Guitar stuff + audio interface in one unit plus software that can be loaded into Logic as a AU.
