Logic Users - Installation help

right now I have logic 8 installed on my hard drive of the uMBP

and i recently got a 1tb hard drive...should install the extra packs on the external? or leave it on the main hard drive
 
If it's a fast external (firewire and 7200rpm) then putting the jampacks on the external drive and recording projects to it is a good move.
