I was watching an episode of Long Way Up and got kicked to the Home Screen of my Apple TV 4K. Tried to go back and get an error telling me to sign in, but nothing happens, just spinning wheel forever. Restart device, log out device, log back in and keep getting “Content Unavailable” now.
What happened here and how do I get back to watching ATV+?

Seems it’s a widespread issue. Must be server side on Apple

Same thing happened to us last night. We were watching an episode of The Morning Show when we got kicked to the curb by Apple TV +. The show just stopped and a login message appeared, which of course didn’t work :(

This was not a problem with our Apple TV (hardware) or our internet connection because Netflix, Amazon Prime and PBS all worked fine on our Apple TV (hardware). We tried several things like restarting our Apple TV to no avail.

FWIW we are watching the few shows on Apple TV + that look interesting, so we can drop Apple TV + before our “free” subscription expires. So far the content has been OK. But the Apple TV + UI is just too complicated when using the minimalist touchpad remote. It is way too easy to end up in PIP when all I wanted to do is back up a bit. And I’d really like for Apple TV + to keep track and display which episodes we have already watched. And don’t get me started on the coming attractions and full screen rolling credits.
