Why is the priority of a login window for me to see the same exact landscape photo of Sonoma every single time ...instead of --well you know-- actually LOGIN!?

Question #1: Can I reposition the login back to the center?
Question #2: Can I change the wallpaper shown after reboot (from the always same Sonoma)?

Advice (that is not "downgrade") appreciated💡

I have checked this just yesterday and it worked as follows.
May be limited to M-devices, may or may not work on Intel gear.

When FileVault is enabled, it depends on the user right to unlock the system volume, typically an Admin-type user, likely the one who installed the system in the first place.

The screen background of this Admin-type user becomes the preboot-login background image.

If the last user was of type Standard, the screen background of an earlier Admin-type user will be shown.

Apparently, it depends on the user's right to save his/her background image into some hidden pre-boot area.

An option would be nice. But I like it, easier to look at the keyboard and the text field

I HAVE THE SAME QUESTION re: login screen position. We rescue kitties, and several of them like to sleep on my desktop/their bed. The login screen on the very bottom is now being blocked by a sleeping kitty body and/or butt. IS there a way to move the login section up so I can see it w/o disturbing sleeping kitties who then want snacks because I woke them?

Honestly speaking you can just type password in without looking at it

I submitted my feedback to https://apple.com/feedback.

I am quite shocked to see that someone thought it is a good idea to put these fields at the bottom, especially when you have 4k screens. It is weird... This tells me that they ran out of things to improve.

I upgraded to Sonoma two weeks ago and it was in the middle position. It just flipped 5 minutes ago-- so I submitted it as a bug.
