I've heard good things about those Zaggs, and I like that some are backlit.
But I've heard it takes too much force to wedge the iPad in and out of the Zagg's hinge-slot. Enough to make marks on the iPad, and enough that you can't easily grab just the iPad and walk away. Nor can you easily switch between portrait and landscape. The Zagg would be awesome for someone who rarely uses portrait and always wants a keyboard, but as a "sometimes" keyboard user, quick-release is a must for me.
It is true that it takes a fair bit of effort to put the iPad into the hinge, but having used both styles extensively, I can say I prefer this one. I'm a very ocassional keyboard user as well, and while it's nice that the Logitech style attaches magnetically, it turns out that's not much of an advantage when you realize that you have to detach the keyboard EVERY time you want to open up the iPad to use it. This makes for a very awkward companion because it means most of the time I'm carrying around all that weight not to use it. It's not even worth putting the iPad into the slot on the keyboard unless I'm actually going to type something because it sits there so precariously and with no angle adjustment.
Compare that with the Zagg where even if I am not using the keyboard, it opens up like a laptop so it gets used a lot more just as a way to hold the iPad upright while reading, referencing, video chatting, whatever. It just feels far more natural. The options, if you want the iPad to interface with the keyboard like a real laptop are either a minimalist hinge like the Zagg, or a full case like the Clamcase which adds bulk and is far more difficult to remove quickly.
