I am trying to get my home app to recognize a circle view doorbell I just purchased and am unable to. I've tried using the 5v 2a power source as recommended and an iPad power adapter with no luck. I even tried resetting the doorbell. It will scan the QR code with no issue but then tries connecting for minutes before telling me it was unable to. I'm using a Xfinity XB7 router, if that matters.

Sorry, I can’t help because I do not have a logitech doorbell however I do know that every time I have tried to set up a WeMo smart plug it has always required for me to be on the 2 GHz band. Could that be your problem?

Hmm, certainly could be as this router automatically switches between both. And if Xfinity doesn't allow me to set the band, am I just blank out of luck?

Dunno but strange that you can’t separate the bands for manual selection when needed. Do you have the manual for it and/or can you login to your router’s settings?

Ok, so I was able to figure out how to separate the bands on this router, had to rename the network in order to split them. While that worked, it still didn’t resolve my issue in that I still cannot get this doorbell to be recognized.

Ah maaan, that’s too bad. I thought for sure that was it. Sorry man.

Appreciate the advice tho. Any last parting suggestions? Do you think it’s possible I have a dud?

There’s always a chance it could be a dud. Only way to find out is to exchange it. The only other thing I can think of is have you rebooted the router?

Good call, of course I never reset my router but that looks to have solved it, finally was able to add it to Home app. Thanks for your help!
I think that’s something they should probably mention in the install guide. They say it works on both 2.4 and 5, but never mention that it won’t work on a router that switches automatically between both.
