They’re such nice cases, and I love the case fabric, but I wish it didn’t have the kickstand. I went for the SKF for my Air 4 but I would rather have this one.

I’ve changed my mind about this Logitech combo touch for iPad Air 4, and ordered one. When I first read about them, I didn’t realize the keyboard was detachable, and that one factor will make all the difference. I can deal with the kickstand because my lap usage is always on a pillow. I don’t really need the trackpad but of course it’s nice to have.

The other factor that dissuaded me from the previous model of this keyboard (that didn’t have a detachable keyboard) was the trackpad + keyboard depth when playing games. I tried one of those for a couple of weeks. That will be resolved now with the new model.

I’ll be returning the SKF today to get just inside the BB 30-day return window. This new combo touch won’t be delivered until next week so I’ll make due in the meantime using the K380.

FYI these cases are shipping already from Best Buy. According to the MR announcement, they were going to begin shipping in July, so am pleased it was moved up.

I've had this case now since 7/2 and am very happy with it. The Touch ID cutout works well, and I feel confident with the corner protection. It's so nice not to worry about the fabric getting smudges.

Before this version was announced, I tried the Folio Touch (the one with the keyboard attached). Although there were many things to love about it, for reading or watching something in my lap on a pillow, the keyboard was too deep. That's solved now with the detachable keyboard (which is also reversible on the back when using it as a tablet).

I had trouble registering this, however, on the Logitech support site and had to open a ticket. At first I used the S/N on the box, and its system wouldn't accept it. Nor is the product available on the support drop-down menus.

I was advised to input the S/N on the case itself (next to the smart connector), which is different than the box S/N, but that wouldn't work either. I assumed this was because the product was so new.

Support then asked for the receipt, which I emailed. Then they asked for my phone number so they could verify the purchase with Best Buy. And now it's registered. I'm a bit put off that it required Logitech to contact Best Buy though. I don't know if this is typical of a Logitech product registration, but its system needs some work I'd say.
