I’ve got the new iPad Air, 3rd gen and the Logitech crayon. For some reason it will not work. I’ve done all of the steps in the Logitech trouble shooting process from their website and still no joy.

Anyone else have problems or do I just have a lemon and need to return it?

Could be defective. It happens.

It was a dud. It lit up and charged and everything it was supposed to do but work with an iPad. I went to the store yesterday and tried it on some of the demo iPads. Didn’t work. They had some for sale so I bought one. That one worked fine. I’ll be returning the one that doesn’t work.
[doublepost=1557066028][/doublepost]Forgot to mention, now that I have one that works, it works great. I also have the Apple Pencil and with the exception of the pressure sensitivity, this works exactly the same. I use it for taking notes so that isn’t a factor for me.

if you really like it, at least you can all them via phone, they will guide you to set up or send you a replacement!

I haven't seen many on here that have used the Logitech pencil. I had considered getting one so that if I got a mini, I could use the pencil with both my mini AND my iPP, instead of having to keep 2 different pencils.

I keep managing to talk myself down from the mini, so I haven't done that yet, but good to see some positive feedback about it.

While I was at the store I tested it to make sure the new one worked. I turned the Bluetooth off on the three iPads in the display and I was able to use it on all of them without doing anything. It’s not using bluetooth so I can only assume it some sort of NFC since you don’t pair it.

Some special wifi-based connectivity actually.

I had a pencil for my ipad 2018 but when work gave me an ipad 2018 to use there (meaning i now had 2 identical ipads) i bought a logitech crayon. pencil got a little annoying with all the re-pairing to switch from one device to the other (and got in the way of the crayon's seamless switching, also). gave the pencil away to a family member in the end. crayon work perfectly on both ipads and my more recent purchase, mini 5.
