These prices arent even really competitive... does logitech think because apple raised their pricing on their new pro lineup they need to follow suit? I am half debating on buying the apple one now because of how stupidly priced this is..

(I want the detachable keyboard... but at that price for a 3rd party accessory? thats nuts...
Keep an eye on the price over the next 6 months. They’ll be discounted by 30%.

Ordered the M4 13 Pro version with my iPad order. Arrived today.

I have the 11 2018 Pro version, loved it. No issues. I had a 12.9 Pro with Magic Keyboard for a period of time, although I did prefer the typing experience, I mostly use the device flat, for handwritten notes.

This is the best solution for me and very excited to have the larger version and flexibility.

Im sure but my return period for my ipad ends on the 23rd and I am getting a new ipad and dont want to wait for a keyboard.

Sorry, kickstands don’t work well on uneven surfaces.
It works great for tablet mode with large iPads, since you can prop it up with the kickstand while using it as a tablet. It isn’t great for lap use with the keyboard, but it’s okay if it’s your only option. My issue with the Magic Keyboard is that you lose the case in tablet mode and that makes it harder to hold it up in tablet mode.

Personally, I usually have the keyboard off unless I am at a table/desk. For now, I am just getting a cheap cover that protects the front and back. It will fold back and work as a stand ( like the Apple cover). For typing, I will have my Ajazz Bluetooth mechanical keyboard and a Logitech Ergo mouse that I prefer to these cover/keyboards on a hard surface..but it’s not as portable. The Logitech keyboard cover will inevitably come down in price. Until then, if I miss a portable keyboard, I may just grab a cheap bluetooth option to hold me over on those rare occasions I want to work in my lap or out on the deck. At my desk, it shares a DasKeyboard and Logitech mouse/Magic Mouse with a Mac. I am usually in tablet mode with a pencil ( unless I am docked), though, so paying $250 for something that is rarely used doesn’t make a lot of sense.

I also have warping around one of the speakers on my current Logitech Keyboard. I probably haven’t used the keyboard enough to be a good test case, but my keyboard still looks new.

I use one for my iPad Pro 4th gen (still fresh and performing btw) and absolutely love it. It has benefits the Magic Keyboard don’t such such as removing the keyboard, adjusting angles way better but at the cost of adding substantial weight … but years later it strong and like day one … I can’t wait to try the new one that is retro compatible (as oppose to the new ones at Apple) and much lighter

I wish they had a version that doesn't have the back cover. I just want the folio keyboard for the iPad. I don't want the touch pad
Yeah I loved the Smart Keyboard for these reasons. It‘s still the most lightweight/thin keyboard stand design ever made—while also having the smallest footprint. The sacrifice was a trackpad and adjustable angles, but that was a trade off I was happy making for a keyboard that I always kept in my bag and toted around just in case I needed it (I also had a heavier keyboard stand with adjustable angles that I kept at home). I was very bummed when they stopped making Smart Keyboard for all but the entry iPad. I even spent hours trying to fix my old one for my iPP using a soldering iron, but eventually gave up. It had a design flaw in that many of those keyboards would lose electrical connection at the joints after a good amount of wear. But I liked the keyboard so much I would have been fine replacing it every couple years.

I love how Logitech made their keyboard case compatible with both the M4 and M2 and earlier iPad Pros, but Apple didn't. So even more so that they broke compatibility purely in software to force a new Magic Keyboard purchase. That's a shame.

I think it's cuz of the weight and.only the new pros are light enough to stand the new keyboards with a 90 degree angle, the previous models can't. if u put them on it would lose balance

I wasn’t happy with the protection offered by a Smart Keyboard Folio and have been using one of these cases on my 2018 iPad Pro and it’s a great protective case with a subpar keyboard. It’s a little cramped and has just a bit too much key travel meaning my typing speed and accuracy is well down relative to my MBA.

I love how the keyboard can be detached and left. Weight removed and you can just use the iPad as an iPad. Don't have to fiddle with the keyboard.

When I initially got my iPad Pro a few years back, I tried Apple's magic keyboard and hated it. It forces you into a certain position and I don't like it. It also weighs a ton. It's taking a super thin and light ipad and turning it into a MacBook. No thanks

… and this is what the LCT keyboard looks like after less than two years of regular use (in fact, the keys have started peeling off within a year). Not to mention the warping of the top case around the speaker holes, which has allegedly been fixed on newer versions of the LCT. I'd recommend it otherwise, as it is a solid product that offers much more protection for the iPad than the Magic Keyboard, but I have never had a keyboard that developed so much wear and tear with regular use in less than two years.

It's very common, not just with Logitech keyboards.

The main problem I have with this keyboard and the Apple one is there's no way to tilt the keyboard up a little for better ergonomics. Another reason why I like the Surface line - the keyboard cover can be angled.

I have had 3 of these cases and never experienced this. Wow...maybe you got a bad one?
I don't get it either. I've use the one on my M1 since practically day 1 and never had those issues. I do have the stretching around the speaker holes but that's the least of my worries.

They're out of their minds with that pricing. These are KEYBOARD{/Cases} FOR TABLETS.
Fixed it for you.

This is a result of our "stellar" economy and "temporary" inflation. Everything is more. Don't get fixated on the MSRP, they'll be on sale for $50 off soon enough.

I had this for my 10.5" iPad for years, and then again when I upgraded to my 12.9" iPad Pro last year. I've had a really great experience with this keyboard case, especially using just the case / kickstand without the keyboard attached (really handy on a plane tray table or reading in bed). It's definitely expensive but IMO worth the price.

I have one for my M2 Pro - the first one I had suffered from the warping near the speaker cutouts. This one has been redesigned and is holding up alright so far.

Love being able to use without the keyboard...wouldn't mind getting this for my inbound M4 Pro but will wait and try to catch it on sale. $230 is too much.

There’s not much to get, there have apparently been bad batches of these and some of us have been burned (there were more similar reports to mine on /r/logitech over the past two or three years). For what is a relatively expensive accessory, it should have held up better. Logitech support was also not helpful on this.

I have one of these on my current iPad Air M1 and have bought a new one for my 13” iPad Air M2. They are better than Apple’s own Magic Keyboard. But for some reasons the Apple Store says they’re not arriving until the end of the month meaning I have two weeks without a case in my new iPad. They’re not even available yet on Logitech’s own website.
