Logitech MX 700 Keyboard/Mouse

Has anyone tried the Logitech MX 700 Keyboard/Mouse combo with your Mac? It says there are no Mac drivers for it. I've use Microsoft wireless keyboards before but wasn't happy with the range and am wondering if the MX 700 would be better.

I've use Microsoft wireless keyboards before but wasn't happy with the range and am wondering if the MX 700 would be better. Does anyone have any preference to a wireless keyboard that has a good range?
 
Have you tried the Search Forums feature at the top of the page? The MX700 was a popular mouse on Mac before it was discontinued.

There is Mac software for it, here. (The same software is also offered for the Cordless MX Duo package, which seems to be what you are describing.) Just don't expect all the "extra" keys to do useful things.
 
I have an MX 700 and it works great with the Logitech Control Centre you download from their site (follow iMeowbot's link). If I click the mouse wheel it activates Expose, bottom cruise is dashboard (I never used cruise buttons for their original purpose), top is show desktop etc.

Hold on a second. Macworld USA for February 2006 has an advertisement for a new Logitech Cordless Desktop S530 keyboard and "frickin laser" mouse. See page 24. It looks really nice. No price. Has special iLife buttons on the keyboard. Works with 10.2.8 or higher.

It looks like a very nice combo design.

On the keyboard
I like that it has a power button in easy reach.
I like the scroll up and down button (I assume that what it is) on each side.
I like the finder, itunes, iphoto buttons.
I like the front wrist support over the apple keyboard

On the mouse, thinks to like
It has a "frickin" laser - cool.
It has a tilt wheel mouse
I assume expose is well supported - fully programable buttons
 
I tried the Windows version of the keyboard at Staples today and it feels very good, even compared to my older Logitech keyboard. The size was extremely nice but of course, how it works in real life will be the big deal.

The above link doesn't work anymore. Here is an updated link which I've managed to get working (but only after installation, restart, then hard-restart). Note: the software update is for the mouse mx700, but the software itself has configuration for the cordless keyboard also. I am using the keyboard mouse combo on my mid 2011 MacBook Air 11" with Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8).

Unfortunately I think the technology used is RF instead of Bluetooth, so it still needs the dock and USB plug-in. It is fine for me as I have the USB plugged behind my 27" Thunderbolt display so when I dock the MBA, it just works 🙂
