Mac Mouse Fix is by far the best 3rd-party driver in my experience, it just doesn't work as well with the MX Master 3 specifically since the input of that scroll wheel is kind of strange and is best handled by Logitech's software. The scrolling with MMF is actually as smooth as it is with the first-party accessories, unlike Mos which is better than the default behavior but doesn't quite get all the way there.

But who wants to deal with Logitech's software? Personally I've been using the Razer Pro Click with Mac Mouse Fix for years now and it feels like the perfect companion to the Magic Keyboard. Mac Mouse Fix also provides better support for using your mouse buttons to emulate trackpad gestures.

If nobody has recommended it yet, I really love this app called BetterMouse. I think it's $5 for lifetime access. Gives you complete customization of absolutely every aspect of the mouse.

You can set the scroll speed, acceleration, etc. Map all the buttons. All of what you'd expect.

Hello all.

I've just got a MX Master 3s to use with my Macbook Air. I'm having a lot of trouble making it feel as smooth, responsive and fast as the cheap wired mouse it is the replacement for (it has developed double clicking and its noisy).

I'm aware that mice have problems on Mac so I downloaded Better Mouse as i've seen that recommended here and there, although I've also heard of Mac Mouse Fix, MOS and some others

I've looked around at various tips and some recommended settings for Better Mouse but it still doesn't feel at all right after trying some of them. In fact I've been forced back to using the cheap, old, malfunctioning wired one again.

Can anybody here (the Mac experts) please suggest what settings I should use?

Thanks for any help.

I'm curious about Mos settings as well. Its scrolling just makes me feel sick

These are my BetterMouse settings w/ both an MX Master 3S and 4. I don’t use Mos as I also have an mx keys s keyboard and enjoy the fine-tuning of BM.

The key here is keeping smooth scroll on while brake point is minimal. This makes the transition between scroll ticks smooth while the deceleration starts almost immediately, preventing a “lag” before the content slows down.

Play with Speed and Acceleration to tune how far each scroll tick takes you (speed) and how much acceleration is applied when you flick the wheel.
