Only just realised Logitech have their gen 3 slim backlit Keyboard for 11 and 12.9 iPads.
As my patience has almost been tested to max awaiting mobile provider to re stock ASK.
Seriously considering the Logitech Bluetooth backlit Keyboard for my 11" iPad.

Is There any macrumours users to offer their experience with this Keyboard
Thanks in advance

I had both the Create and the slim combo for the previous iPad Pro and was not satisfied with the quality. I’ve had tons of Logitech mice and keyboards but will now stay away from their iPad accessories.

Logitech could have been pre order.
Though finally gave in and ordered Apple Smart Keyboard black collection as soon as I get car returned with hopefully tyre pressure warning system intermittent fault resolved on 2nd return visit to dealership in past few weeks.
Slightly dissatisfied that Comcast haven't managed to re stock 11" ask.
What to do with 51 gb data as I can't take advantage of what would have been generous data trade in discount.

Ive had all the Logitech keyboard cases for all the ipad pros. They are much better than what apple offers and if i had to choose I would go with the Logitech.

For me, ill likely pick up the Logitech once it’s shipping. Right now I’m using the k780 keyboard with the ipad and it works just fine.

This ? https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/HMU92B/A/logitech-slim-folio-pro-case-with-integrated-bluetooth-keyboard-for-11-ipad-pro?fnode=9e&fs=f=ipadpro_11-logitech&fh=4598%2B3351%2B4a96

I believe that Macrumors did a run down of this not long ago. It looks really thick though.

In stock now but only pre-order with Amazon UK.

Think I'll try the Logitech only if I reach a point of a.s.k failing.
Hopefully not though.
Maybe there will be a user review and Logitech is a consider saving.

I see you’re in the same part of the world as me.

I’ve got the Logitech coming tomorrow (should’ve got it yesterday but UPS cocked up). I ordered it direct from Logitech last weekend as they were in stock. I had the slim combo for the 10.5 before and really preferred it to the ASK. I’ve now got the 12.9 2018 iPad Pro and have been using an Apple Magic keyboard which has been fine.

To be honest I’m not fussed at all about the thickness. I’ll let you know how I get on.

Ive had the Logitech case over a week now and its everything i expect from Logitech. The case is thick but that’s what i wanted anyway and it fits in the sleeve i was using when it was not in a case.

As mentioned above, no lag, keys feel much better than the apple case, and the overall construction is a much better quality than the apple case.

I would have went with brydge (would have been a first time customer) but they are still on pre order status with no firm ship date mentioned. I wanted Logitech anyway because I’m used to their product , having had all the prior ipad pros (12.9) in their respective Logitech cases, so I am quite pleased.

I just received the case yesterday..do I have to charge it first before connecting it to the ipad pro or can I pop in the case and than plug it into the wall..does the ipad show you how much battery life the case has left before it needs recharging?

I started using mine straightaway after pairing. There is a battery indicator button on the keyboard.

Thanks..when its fully charged the green light is fully lit right and not blinking? does it show you in notifications how much battery life is left?

Yes the green light is steady when fully charged. Nothing shows in notifications.

Awesome thanks..about how long does it take to fully charge? Should I charge it before connecting the iPad Pro to it or does it not make any difference? Weird, with the apple pencil at least it shows you how much charge is left, how is a person supposed to know when its time to recharge the keyboard case

Apparently the light turns red when the keyboard needs charging. I used it for about an hour on receipt and then put it on charge for an hour or so.

[doublepost=1556232825][/doublepost]If you’re a UK student there is a 25% discount available via StudentBeans for the Logitech UK store.

So it takes about an hour then? Cool! Yeah I got the discount using UNIDAYS Im in the US, the code wouldnt work so they issued me a 30 percent off code so I got the keyboard for 83.99 plus tax(About 91 bucks total) so its cool to charge the case while connected or should I charge it before connecting it to the ipad pro for the first time? I appreciate you answering all my questions :)

I played with it first and paired it with my iPad before charging it properly (with the iPad attached). The green light was blinking when I pressed the battery button and so I think it needed an initial charge.

Finally was able to get the darn thing into the case..my fingers are killing me LOL seriously they could have made inserting this thing easier than it was my fingers are blue LOL. I noticed the second the case attaches to the ipad the backlight turns on its daytime here in LA obviously I dont need backlight on how can I turn that on and off? I did not turn on the ipad yet, to charge it without the ipad was not an option it just kept on blinking white I guess it needs to be connected first before charging?

Use the backlight keys on the top row to turn off the light.
