Logitech USB Microphone Wont Work In Logic

just bought a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone, and it works in everything but Logic Pro 8. I have no idea why. I tried going into the Audio Pref. and to change the input, but it does not come up. Only "Built In Mic" and "Built In Input"
