No, but there is an app for macs that let u close the lid and keep the computer awake. I didn't much care for it but...

The MBP needs to be awake for logmein to work.

Leave the laptop open but let it go to sleep when you want it to or even just the screen then in system preferences go to Energy saver and then select the box Wake for network access. Then you can wake your computer up when you need it.
