Logo Help

Does anyone know of any FREE software i can download onto my mac to help me make a logo??

Im just after one to put on my website, top of letters ECT

Or even better if anyone would be kind enough to do it for free (I know most of you charge money for it)

Ok, now that that is out of my system, you need to check out Gimp. It is free and works almost as well as Photoshop.

Here are some tutorials and here is an awesome forum to discuss ideas and techniques about gimp.

I know you said free but...

if you are willing to spend a little money, there is a pretty decent program called Pixelmator. They have a free trial on their website so you can try it out. If you like it it is priced at $60 or so.

There is also the aviary products. They are all free and online only. You work on a website and do all the edits on the web from any computer, and when you are done you can download the results. There are also tons of tutorials for aviary

Here is a link to a review of 20 different free and/or inexpensive vecotr drawing tools. And there's also GIMP, which is a raster-based program which has been linked above.

Asking a group of design professionals to make your logo for free is akin to asking your contractor to build your house for free. Chances are you'll get laughed at very hard.
