I've replaced "LOL" with more specific and amusing words for laughing, such as tee hee

Funny you say that... for the last two weeks or so me an my friends have been saying "Tee hee" - in real life - just because it sounds so funny.

My friend says lol in real life conversations. It's quite weird to me :p

I've heard it in real life too, I find it amusing :D "WTF" works well.

Thanks. :)

Also I love how a question as simple as "What does lol mean" turned into a two page thread.

I was just going to comment on that! LOL :p

Some people get dumped on for starting trivial threads, yet this one is a two pager.

ahhh well...

Sooo.... who likes garlic bread?

A co-worker and I got into a big argument about this "LOL" crap. He swore up and down that it meant "laughing online". Umm, no, it's laughing out loud. Now why the hell would you need to state that you are "laughing online" when it is already quite obvious that you are online??? Now "laughing out loud", on the other hand, needs to be conveyed because when you are conversing online how the hell do you know the other party is laughing out loud?
:D LOL.:D
