Well, unless you can think of another reason why they'd be marching a big rainbow past the Apple Store :p

Well, in case you didn't guess already, here's what it's actually for :)

DSCN0326.jpg

Sadly my camera battery died just after the parade actually started, but I'm charging it whilst I'm home to watch the football (COME ON ENGLAND!!), then heading back down into Soho. If I see anything worth snapping, I shall post it later. (One more pic below)

Happy Europride everyone!!

That's a very long apple...:D

Happy Europride. :)

What are they so proud about? I see an ad for a DJ and Che on the placards... this isn't some sort of demonstration against the 1km non-demosntration legistlation is it?

Edit: never mind I googled it.

The old colored Apple logo was nice, but I think that I prefer the new one.

But for some odd reason, I think that the demonstrators are marching for a different reason. :)

LOL :D I just noticed in the second picture (towards the right) that it would appear that someone is holding a picture of the pope in drag followed by the words "queen of homophobia". That is rather amusing. :D :)

Thr pride march was on my cycle route to work today, which made it an interesting trip. Friendly crowd.

Still, my all time greatest cycle faux pas was joining in with a bike race on my way to work last year after a wrong turn by Big Ben. I was cheered on and everything, until everyone realised my bike just wasn't the standard of everyone elses.

They still gave me an 'I took part' pack though.

:D

The guy holding that is the one and only Peter Tatchell. He's also previously been beaten up for trying to citizen's arrest Robert Mugabe :)

Pretty impressive guy.

He certainly is. Very gutsy guy.

Impressive, I should say so. :)

I demanded the original Apple logo and took care of the problem myself, I just took apart the LCD on my MBP and replaced the standard white logo with a nice original apple colored logo :) Ah yes, much better now!

The perfect solution for enterprising individuals such as yourself. :)

Awww c'mon, it's not thaaaat bad :p Nothing like stripping your 2 day old MacBook Pro completely down to the case just for fun eh? That was a great learning experience, haha.

Sorry, that is too much of an operation for me to perform on my MacBook Pro. Even though the classic colored logo would look cool, I will have to stick with the current one.

umm... i think they lost.
Sadly yes, but I'm already over it. If they'd played a 5-1 blinder at some point then gone out toda, I'd be more upset, but although all the way through I hoped England would win, I wasn't really expecting it. There wasn't enough fire about the team. They played better today after Rooney got sent off, but it wasn't enough and that's that.

Sad, but we still got down to the last eight. I can live with that.

BTW, France beat Brazil. Well done them :)

Didn't get to it or down to Soho in the end. Bloody hopeless, I am. Didn't even get to my friendly local (Queen's Head) for a mineral water...

Thanks for the pix, though dynamicv. :)

I remember seeing them in trafalgar square, me and some mates had just got off work, got kick out of a pub, with some patriotic sprit living in my friends they insisted on finding watching the game and hopped to see it on a big screen in trafalgar. Instead there is are some guys singing about europride, now i am not totally sure what this whole gay price thing is about but i think some appropriate dressing would help stop this prejudice.

That's my pleasure Blue. There would have been more of this evening, but in the end I just started drinking instead :D

You're missing the point there I think. Everyone is being proud of who they are, whether they are pretty nondescript gays, drag queens, into leather, or just like running around in their underwear covered in glitter. If you turn up at Pride hiding who you are, then you're not being very Proud, are you?

Besides, it was 31˚C in Central London. Stripping off in that sort of heat is quite appropriate :)
