When I long press on the iBooks icon, it does not show recent books but rather my most recent PDF files from the Files app (even though those PDFs aren’t even in iBooks). Has anyone else noticed this? Also, are there any other apps that support the long press to view most recent content?

Not happening on my 10.5”. Long press just does the normal, giving delete option. Tried various length presses up to the delete option and just opens iBooks as normal.

Do you have any PDFs in the Files app?

Hadn’t noticed until I tried myself on my 10.5” Pro, and the exact same thing happened.

Further playing around I can get the long press to work on the files and get my recent files showing but not on the iBooks icon. I do have the files icon in the dock. That made me think if I were to put the iBooks icon there maybe that would work, it didn’t. Interesting how some are getting it to happen. I do have the latest update too. It works on pages and numbers too.

It worked for me! Once the PDFs appear, I stop pressing. If you press too long, all the icons wiggle. But shows old PDF files! Clicking on a file, there is a delay, as it is downloaded from the cloud. I have an iPad Air running iOS 11.0.3.

Still can’t get it to work for me on the iBooks icon even after opening several PDF files. I’m wondering if it’s because I don’t have the PDFs on the cloud????

Maybe that’s it? My PDFs are in iCloud.

Same. Just tried it for the first time. Showed 3 PDFs that have never been opened in iBooks (but that exist on my iCloud Drive/Files).
