It´s my impression or we are experiencing the longest time between the last release and the upcoming release of the jailbreak? I mean, the last IOS version to be jailbroken was 9.01/9.02.

Do you guys think we are getting closer to a time where will be almost impossible to find out how to jailbreak an IOS device cause Apple is always improving the security of IOS. I´m almost considering buying and old Iphone 5 or something like it with an old OS just to have a jailbroken iPhone. I miss SO many JB apps!!!!

I think the waiting for the iOS 6.0 jailbreak was probably the longest. Late September to late February. Five months.

That was NO jailbreak. Everyone that was jailbroken and waiting was on iOS 5.x at the time. At least while waiting for iOS 9.1 those that were on 9.0.2 or below had a jailbreak. Wasn't the case with iOS 6.

iOS 7 jailbreak came on Christmas day. Made everyone happy. iOS 8.0 was not a long wait either.

Everyone thinks NOW is the longest wait when it's not so. And every time there's a wait the question of whether there is or is not a jailbreak and if the end of jailbreaking is near always comes up.

The wait for the 6.1.2-6.1.4 jailbreak was very long. Jailbreak for them wasn't released til AFTER the iOS 7 jailbreak was released. iOS 6 also took a long time as has been stated. Some of those jailbreaks took almost half a year if memory serves me. I guess maybe you are getting there with iOS 9.1. Not quite with 9.2.

Someone is very impatient and over-reacting =P

You missed a lot then. It got old by the 4S but early on as the iPhone was so crippled, it we pretty fun

i used the iPhone the way Apple designed it.
I know it was crippled initially, but it was interesting to follow Apple's development of iOS.

Not everyone stayed on iOS 5. Many like me had an A4 device so we could just have a tethered jailbreak.

With the first iPhone apple was trying to push these web apps only that were terrible.

Jailbreak is where a lot of the features came from.

Whatever works for you though

The first iPhone was the only iPhone i didn't like (sold after 3 months).
For me the "iPhone experience" really started from iPhone 3G

Really the original iPhone has been one of my favorite phones I've ever owned. It was just so exciting being apart of it, agreed the initial web app thing was stupid but after the App Store launched that was a game changer.
