With the new phone launching I am planning on upgrading to the x or whatever they are going to call it.

I was wondering if it is smart to switch carriers to take advantage of any switch promotions they offer. I am currently on a plan with my parents and aunt as its a 4 person line for 10 gb. Me leaving the group might affect them negatively ($$$ wise) so I will have to check in with that. My plan was just to get my own line (I still pay my dad monthly obviously but I would like it in my name). AT&T can drop sometimes in certain areas (and I am sure other areas happen for verizon).

So, with the new phone about to debut, anyone switching carriers? Anyone go from ATT to Verizon and like it? Hate it?

I switched to Verizon from att two months ago. It’s much better and pretty close to the same cost. Now have unlimited and don’t have to cut my internet off the last few days of the month like i used to.

You'd be much better off posting this question over on howardforums. This is more of a carrier question than an Apple/iPhone question. There are many members over there who have been with multiple carriers and can share their experiences with each.

I know Verizon has service where we are and att doesn’t. We’ve had att and it works fine with WiFi and a microcell.

Am wondering if I can switch via a promotion and save some money. Otherwise I’ll stay. Been with att for a looooong time.

As of late, I had a deal some discrepancies with my account with Verizon. And I have been very impressed with their customer service and responsiveness. To me, data plans are one thing, but customer service is crucial as well.
