Reminds me of a retarded Schwarzenegger.
How many foreign languages do you speak?
Reminds me of a retarded Schwarzenegger.
What happened to his eye? Like, I'm not even trying to insult him, I'm just wondering.
Reminds me of a retarded Schwarzenegger.
Explains a great many things......
He probably thought that iOS integration into Lion was a mistake.
He probably thought getting rid of Spaces was a mistake
And he probably thought that not paying any attention to memory management was a mistake
Can you do a presentation in a second language? Or even in your main language?
Why are you getting defensive about that comment?
Maybe because someone who speaks two languages fluently, holds a doctorate and played a significant role over a decade in shaping the architecture of one of the few major desktop operating systems in the world doesn't deserve the retard tag?
Not that it is ever acceptable to call someone that.

Back in March 2011, Apple announced that senior vice president of Mac Software Engineering Bertrand Serlet was leaving the company after over 20 years working with Steve Jobs at NeXT and Apple. Serlet and Apple were quiet about his future plans at the time, noting only that he wished to "focus less on products and more on science".
Business Insider now reports that Serlet has been working on a stealth Palo Alto-based startup known as Upthere.Additional digging by Business Insider revealed evidence in job postings and a Tweet that Serlet and former Apple and Oracle executive Roger Bodamer are involved with Upthere.
Serlet is known as one of the key figures behind the development of Mac OS X, and he made several appearances on stage during Apple keynotes, perhaps most notably at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in 2006 where he famously compared Windows Vista to Mac OS X Tiger in his "Redmond, start your photocopiers" presentation.

This video is what lured me into being an Apple freak. Bertrand was so funny with this presentation. It's still an epic video. Please take the time to watch it. Just don't watch his glass eye too closely. Might creep you out.![]()
Considering OSX was built on top of a build of Linux? Who innovated that OS and who copied it?
I'm also tired of apples cheesy pc/Mac man campaigns, grow up apple it's embarrassing.
the Vista logo did look like a regular Windows logo with a large Aqua/Aero bubble around the outside. The whole skit was quite tongue and cheek and in the right spirit. Unfortunately it appears the subtly of the humour has been lost on some, which is a shame.
Which is funny, because they have long since stopped running those. And PC guy (Hodgson) made those commercials. Everyone loved PC guy, that was the point and part of the reason they were so successful.
Unfortunately it appears the subtly of the humour has been lost on some, which is a shame. There was no spirit. It's was a tactless, childish and dissrespectful speech
They didn't do it out of the kindness of their own hearts. Microsoft had kind of backed themselves into a corner.Again, Apple would have died many years ago if Windows did not support the company financially.
Apple and its executives have in the past been tremendously respectful of others in the industry. Tim Cook was very complimentary about the innovation and competition provided by Windows Phone, Phil Schiller on stage referred to Microsoft as great partners, Steve Jobs has praised intel, Microsoft, Sony and others on multiple occassions. If you are just cherry pick examples to suit your argument then that is disingenuous. How can you respect peers if they offer such low respect for others in the industry.
Yes, all your points are perfectly valid. If you discard half the facts.Linux/unix... My point is still valid.

Here's a couple of links which explain why: 1, 2, 3.

I wonder whether it's coincidence that the dumbing-down and closing of OS X began at the same time as he left Apple.
There was no spirit. It's was a tactless, childish and dissrespectful speech. Apple seams to promote the need to point fingers at others within the industry and indulge in a belief of self importance. Again, Apple would have died many years ago if Windows did not support the company financially.
