Sad to see them go. Way back in "the day" I was on the other side of the Kagi divide - selling shareware and using Kagi as my credit card transaction company. They did quite well for me, through three different products, and were always fair, friendly, and stayed completely out of the way when I didn't need them. I've been out of the shareware game for many many years now of course, but even two years ago was still promoting Kagi when talking to developers who wanted someone else to handle their payments but didn't want to deal with one of the app stores.

Ah well. All good things must end at some point, I suppose. I'll pour one out for Kagi tonight (way too early to drink today still).

Just went to renew some shareware (Northern Softworks * Cache Cleaner) I own that used Kagi and PayPal, only to find there's just PayPal as an option now. So sad! I refuse to use PayPal, as I have had two (out of two) experiences with them, both losing me thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges on my BankCard, causing closures of accounts and forcing banks to retrieve my funds. So many shareware programs via Kagi. Which programs (3?) were yours? I may have owned one or more.

Based on the notice posted on Kagi's site and emails sent to developers using the service, a third-party company is "dividing up the Kagi assets and distributing them to the creditors," so it is possible some developers may not receive the full amount they are owed as Kagi shuts down.

I am a software develper who used Kagi and I still have heard nothing since August 2016 from DSI, the company that Kagi is using to distribute assets. My emails to the company have been ignored. Considering a class action suit soon if I don't hear anything. DSI is DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTS, INC., located at 235 Pine Street, Suite 1150, San Francisco, CA 94104
