The other thread has gone into a endless loop of bickering back and forth about iTunes vs google play but for some reason people are not getting how easy you can upload all your legally bought music to google play and then play it and dl it to any android device you have.

All you have to do is go to google.com and click play at the top of your browser and log into google with your gmail acc,you youtube or gmail acc will work as google owns them both and then download the quick and easy app to upload all your songs.

here is a picture of how easy it is.

I have done the exact same thing, I pointed the Google manager to my iTunes account and let it get on with it, there are also apps on the iTunes store that one can use to access Google music from ones iDevice, best of both worlds. I also find that Google music is generally cheaper.

Edit; The other thing is that one can set it to update/upload to Google music automatically if one buys an album from iTunes.

I do the same thing with Amazon's Cloud Player. Even better because I can access it on my S2, my iPad Mini, and wherever else I'd like.

I had to stop uploading songs because no matter how much I change the upload bandwidth, it slows my download speed too much.

Using the Google music app on my MB also brings it to a crawl so much that I have spinning wheels with everything I try to do while it is running. 2010 white MB, 4GB ram.

yeah i did this with my music collection too. I'm not going to pay for iTunes match and it is nice whenever I want to access my music from another computer. I also have an android tablet now so that makes it better for me too for occasional listening when I feel like it on my tablet.

It sounds like there's no problem. You're just being too impatient. I usually let my MBP do the uploading, and then turn on the LTE and tether to another machine in the meantime. :D

There's a bug with the uploader on my Mac and I have tried it with my PC as well.

It will only recognize the last few songs I added to iTunes so it is frustrating since it is the only way to get iTunes all into Google cloud service.

Most of my new music is formatted in AAC so they don't upload. Its a complete bummer.

:D:D:D You couldn't make it up! Out of all the people that would have a problem linking Google Music upto iTune, who would have thought it would have been you?!

I have lots of music, I did the iTunes match thing, deleted all the songs and kept them in the cloud, I then could not sync my iPod classic with my MBP because it would delete all my songs from the iPod. Is there anyway around this, I did ask on the iPod forum but got loads of views but no replays.

In the meantime I have downloaded all my albums just so I can add new purchases. Its not iDeal.

I could but wouldn't the audio quality degrade? For half of my library I don't have the CD's associated with them anymore.

I keep one machine loaded with all my songs in Itunes with Match on, local backup and syncing. I sync all my I things with that machine with match off on the I thing that I want music on. That's the only way I know.

Thank you...:) It's not ideal, I have only a MBP, and need to sync my 2 iPod classics to get music I have purchased from the iTune store, rather than storing my music in the cloud it is stored on my computer.

I just told my 2 brothers about this that moved from iphones to androids and they are so pumped!

I just went to our moms home where our main computer is and Im now uploading 1880 legally bought songs from iTunes to there google acc's

I have a 1 terybite hd that has legit 5000 songs on it from back in the napster days and will upload those also.

They both were like no fing way iTunes will allow google to sync the songs lol

you dont even need android to use this awesome free service, just sign up with a gmail account and most people already have one from using youtube. Then upload all your songs just to have them in the cloud and be able to stream them on any computer from just going to google.com and signing in and playing them off the browser.

Agreed, there are also apps in the iTunes app store that allows one to stream them from iPad and iPad mini, I don't know for sure but would think that there will be iPhone and iPod touch apps also.
