Looking at a MINI MATE

Does anyone have any experience with the Mini Mate external hard drive from Micronet? It seems like it would be perfect for me. I'm strapped for space and could really use the extra ports. Just wondering if there are any major problems or flaws I should know about before I proceed. Thanks!

No personal experience, but there are posts on the Apple forum indicating that Micronet may be putting refurbished. noisy drives in these. I am looking at the M9 DX (aka miniStack) and putting in my own drive. You can get it from OWC for $100 w/o drive.

Thanks for the tip. May be a better idea to stick with a more reputable company i guess; like lacie or seagate.

That is a much better deal than the micronet box. You can get hds a lot cheaper than they're asking for one.
