Looking for a certain app.

I remember download an app some time ago that would search through one's HD and list all of the Apps, and which needed to be updated...does such a thing exist or am I hallucinating?

Google does not do what the Pro apps from VersionTracker and MacUpdate do. However, for the same price as Google, the non-Pro web-based versions of VersionTracker and MacUpdate give you much better signal-to-noise.
