Looking for a good External Hard Drive Application

Hey people. I have looked around and I don't know if it even does exist. I want to find an application in the App store that lets you use your iPod Touch 2nd Generation as an external hard drive. I found one called "Air Sharing", however, you need to have a WIFI connection, I am looking for one that does not require a WIFI connection.

Any ideas?

Unless...I remember seeing something with iDisk, but that doesn't store the files on your Touch, just on the server.

MobileFiles works with iDisk and you can also d/l files from your iDisk and store them on your iPhone for viewing offline.

Briefcase might do the job for you. It works over wifi and 3G, though the 3G function requires a bit of work on your router setup, ie enabling port forwarding etc.

Not an AppStore app, because you'll never find one that does what you want it to do, but the following Mac/Windows application does exactly what you want.

Box.net and MiGhtyDocs allow you to view uploaded documents over an internet connection (no Wi-Fi needed). So, it's not really like using your iPhone as a hard drive, but it could give you comparable results.

DiskAid with FileAid is exactly what you need

DiskAid is a small app for Windows & Mac OS. With this app you can send files by USB cable to your iPhone. iPhone will be exactly like an external drive.

The better is that, now with FileAid you can view or play Files uploaded with DiskAid directly on your iPhone...
