I'm really disappointed with the current aluminum keyboards. It just isn't very satisfying to type on all day long. Looks cool but feels cheap. The keyboard on my MBP feels a lot better, even though it looks just about the same.

Are there any viable alternatives aside from a good PC keyboard? I really want a Mac specific keyboard, I do not want to have to remap any keys. I want the layout to be very similar if not identical to my MBP. Basically I don't want to have to think about any differences between the two.

For years, I have used a big old IBM Model M on my Linux desktop at home. I like that keyboard. Only downside is when I am typing fast it sounds like a machine gun. I need something a bit quieter for the office. There must be something out there. Please tell me someone has built a decent Mac keyboard.

Price is not a concern; the keyboard is my primary input device and I make my living punching these buttons day in and day out.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
