    Hi guys,
In preparation for [hopefully] getting an iPad once they come out I'm really keen oon getting a Google Voice account. Anybody got a spare invite hiding in a drawer they could forward on?

    Cheers.

Just go to google's site and request one. I did it about a month ago and received an invite about a week later.

I requested one a couple weeks ago, I'm hoping to see an invite in a few weeks.

Done that but I suspect I may be in for a wait as I'm in the UK and therefore seem to wait forever to get cool things like this :(

That may be the case given that Google Voice is a US-based service.

Not sure location should make a difference other than why not serve your home country first - especially as one of the main 'selling' points is that it enables low cost international calls.

you can still get an invite, but you will need a proxy server to set it up (and an american land-line for the new google number)
It took a long long time to set it up frm the UK
