I’ve got 2 Power Macs that I’ve been holding onto for years because I love them. They’ve not been touched and I’m running out of room in my house. Is there anyone that would like to take them in? I’m not looking to sell them, just to give them to someone who will enjoy them.

One is a G4, the other is a Yosemite BW that has a 500 MHz G4 ZIF upgrade. I’m in Orange County CA and would prefer not to ship because of the expense.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

But you would have to ship and that would be expensive. :(

Same here but shipping to Nuevo Mexico unfortunately.

Same here but my shipping costs to France would be outrageous. I'm in tears as I've been looking for a serviceable G3 b/w for some time. :(
Whoa! You weren't kidding! FedEx shows rates of over 350 dollars to go from LA to Paris. That's insanely expensive! UPS is equally expensive. I don't suppose you are planning to visit the states anytime soon? Maybe a trip to Disneyland?

Good luck, I wish I could give my Quicksilver away. I would even throw in a Tibook. South central Mo.

Although these aren't PPC necessarily, I have some other items looking for homes, either locally, or I can ship at your expense. Just let me know.
  • MacBook 2006, White - Heavily used, bad battery, but boots and works (includes charger)
  • PowerMac G5 case with functional hackintosh inside running 10.5 (used EFI-Xv2 and can only go up to 10.6)
  • iMac G5 with bad powersupply
  • 2x 22" acrylic cinema displays (I don't think either works; one has bad input board, other has cracked display)

The MacBook 2006 looks good but I am in ILLINOIS. How is the WIFI on the MacBook? Also are keyboards and mice included with the G5? Does the G5 use VGA DVI or HDMI?
[doublepost=1532108501][/doublepost]What are the specs on the G5 such as ram and processor and video card. What kinds of optical drives do they have?

MacBook Wifi is fine. Optical drive doesn't accept discs. I think a kids put too much paper in it once.

The Hackintosh is 2 GHz Core 2 Duo with bottom of the line video card from 2009 (when I built it). It was used as a server, so nothing crazy. Audio doesn't work on it. No peripherals included.

No idea what the specs are on the iMac. No peripherals on it. I'll try to dig it out and see what the sticker says. I bought it from a school with the intent of fixing the power supply, but never got around to it.

The MacBook seems to be the best option since the keyboard and trackpad are built in.
[doublepost=1532111777][/doublepost]USPS may be one of the cheapest ways to ship the MacBook.

The PowerMacs already got claimed via PM.

If you'd like the MacBook just let me know. It looks like it should fit in a flat-rate USPS box for 13 bucks, plus a little extra for bubble wrap.

Both sounds like amazing additions to my collection of old Macs. I live in Santa Clara, but I'd totally pay for shipping and any associated costs if you're up for giving them away! :)

Give em away, give em a way now
Craigslist free to a Deserving boy around
He!ll learn the Apple basics

I might be down. Do they still power on? I am local.
I think the two towers are spoken for. I need to verify. If that user doesn't want them, you are interested?

Last time I tried them they did, but that was quite years ago. I'm not sure if these computers had issues with capacitors bloating like some other Macs. When I get home from work, I'll see if they chime.

Hehe, you'd certainly get some odd looks putting putting a Power Mac G4 into the overhead locker, but combining it with a holiday would probably be better value than paying that much to ship it and I think the size/weight would actually be ok to carry it on some airlines, assuming they didn't think it was a bomb :D

I can not afford shipping costs right now.
