MacBook Wifi is fine. Optical drive doesn't accept discs. I think a kids put too much paper in it once.

The Hackintosh is 2 GHz Core 2 Duo with bottom of the line video card from 2009 (when I built it). It was used as a server, so nothing crazy. Audio doesn't work on it. No peripherals included.

No idea what the specs are on the iMac. No peripherals on it. I'll try to dig it out and see what the sticker says. I bought it from a school with the intent of fixing the power supply, but never got around to it.


Could the hackintosh be upgraded? Core 2 Duos (depending on the version) will still run the latest macOS if the right video card is installed.

Very probably. I used the EFI-X chip back in the day rather than mucking with a modified OS. The EFI-X only supported 10.5 and 10.6 though. I'm sure you could get it on a newer OS with all the work that's been going into hackintoshes recently, I wouldn't guarantee it though.
