Looking for a maps app where I can drop multiple pins

Later on this month I'm visiting a city that has a ton of great restaurants. I'd like to find an app that allows me to create a pin for each restaurant, without creating an address book entry, and when I get in the mood for some food, simply open the app, find the closest pinned restaurant and walk on over. I'd also like to be able to make a note about each restaurant, and a grouping function would be great, but isn't necessary.

I've found a number of apps that have similar functionality, but nothing quite perfect:

Force me to save all pins into my Contacts list (all of them)
Have too much functionality or seem clunky (dPlaces)
Hideous appearance (My Favs Lite)
No notes function (My Favs Lite, Mapulous, Contact Point)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Came across MapHook and My Places Lite... neither of them are what I'm looking for.

An app called TripDoc looks perfect, but the free version is "unavailable" according to iTunes, and I'd rather try before I buy the $4.99 version, assuming it's actually available.
