Looking for a new lens.

I know there are a ton of these threads, but I'm in a market for a good wide angle or a fisheye. Something within 10-17mm. I'm currently using a Canon Rebel XT.

Any recommendations? I don't want anything highly expensive.

Buy the Canon 10-22 EF-S lens.

10-17? In that range, I'd have to say the Tokina 10-17 is the obvious choice. 🙂

Tokina 12-24: a lot cheaper than Canon's lens and, for all intents and purposes, just as good. Tokina lenses are sturdy and they sell quite cheap. I've seen them for about $375 on craigslist (used) or $500 on bhphoto. You can find more reviews of this lens here (Photozone) and here (Ken Rockwell).

This is the easy choice among third party lenses. It's the only one that feels solid and professional. It has the fastest focus, the fastest aperture and has the best handling of all third party lenses. The Tokina is the heaviest lens of the four. It has no weak points.
