Hey everyone,
What are the body scales that can be purchased that automatically sync with the Apple health app? I use my watch on a daily basis and would love to take more advantage of what all my Apple devices offer.

Thnx.

I have the Body (or something close to it - I bought it a few years ago).

It's been rock solid.

I just body the Withings Body and I love it.

I was considering buying the Withings Body Cardio, but virtually every review said it wasn't worth the extra cost. It's $30-$50 more and the only difference is that it measures your heart rate and it offers a feature called Pulse Wave Velocity - both of which are apparently very finicky and inaccurate. Also, the Body Cardio charges via Micro USB (every 12 months), where the regular Withings Body comes with 4 AAA that last for 18 months.

You can't go wrong with either scale, but the Body is a better bang for your buck than the Body Cardio is.

Here's a chart that compares the Withings scales:

And two reviews:

The PCMag review is particularly helpful since it compares scales from different vendors

I have the WS50 Smart Body Analyzer which I purchased from the Apple Store. Works well, although there are a couple of Withings apps and the scale is seen by the iphone app called "Withings" and not the other one. Looks weird on an iPad.

I don't think that the batteries in my WS50 last 18 months, but can't confirm. I returned from a 3 week trip and it was dead. I had to set it up again from scratch, which was complicated by my not using the right Withings application. Once you know what you're doing it's quite easy.

Turns out that the Body Cardio is on sale now (Amazon, Withings site), at $107, a 40% discount from the regular $180. I actually ended up ordering it as it calculates some things that the Smart Body Analyzer WS50 doesn't (Muscle, Bone, Hydration). It also charges via USB which eliminates the problem of changing batteries. I'll just sell the WS50.

I have the Body Cardio and like it. I mainly chose that model because I liked the design with the stripes better and also it was available at my local Apple Store at the time. Being in Canada I would have had to order the other one online and pay the exchange rate and shipping.

A lot of the reviews said that they failed to get a pulse wave reading but I think this has only happened once to me in the 6 months that I've had it. When it reaches the point where it takes your pulse I just make sure to stay extra still including holding my breath until it's done. I've never had an issue.

I have the Under Armour connected scale. I got it with a $40 off coupon they give out occasionally so it was only $80. Syncs to their UA Record app which writes weight and body fat data to Apple Health.

Overall I'm happy with it.

I've had a couple in the last year or two. I had the Withings Smart Body Analyzer with was pretty good and I've now got the Withings Cardio which I'd highly recommend. I just hate the Withings app and they don't allow all metrics to be allowed to be imported into Apple Health.

A word of warning stay away from the Qardio Base as it's just a terrible design and the biggest disaster was getting the iHealth Core. iHealth must have THE worst customer service I've ever encountered. I had a problem creating and account and their customer service is based in the US and Farance but they're not interchangeable. The French team just ignore your emails. I took me 10 weeks to be able to create an account to use their scale!

Thanks for the tips folks. Just bought the Withings Body based on the recommendations herein.
