Looking for a simple image viewer/browser

I'm looking for a simple image viewer or browser.
The features I need are :

1 - Fast
2 - Capability to Delete the image
3 - Fast!

I hate the built in "preview" app for images, it goes into slide show, it doesn't show me the image numbers, it deletes the wrong images when I delete, it doesn't show the images in order of time...

I have been using Irfanview, which is a free Windows only program, however, it will run on a Mac using Crossover. The latter is a bit pricey on it's own, but can often be found cheaply in bundler deals. That said, I will also take a look at Fragment.
