I'm looking for a USB charger that will work at max speed for all my devices (2020 iPad Pro, 2019 MacBook Pro, MagSafe, and Oculus Quest 2). I know that some old MacBook chargers can't charge iPhones at high speeds with MagSafe, but is there one that will work for all these purposes?

I know that the Oculus charges at 5V/2A, I think the MacBook charges at 20V/4.7A, and I have no idea what the MagSafe puck (not duo) and iPad Pro will accept. Does anyone know of a universal USB charger that can negotiate and deliver all these power requirements? Open to apple and third party suggestions.

Not sure about the Oculus but your MacBook Pro charger is capable of doing the rest. Even though the MBP charger is rated at a higher wattage, it will only supply what the Apple devices require. My guess is it will do the same for the Oculus. The only MBP charger that doesn’t work with MagSafe is the 29 watt one that they no longer make.

that's good to know. the main thin I was unsure about was the MagSafe charger since theres no published info on what it accepts but if the new MacBook Pro chargers work with it at full 15w speed then I won't worry too much about the details. thanks.

There is info on MagSafe on Apples support website. There is a page that outlines which adapters will work. To my recollection, with exception of the 29w adapter, from the 20w and up will supply 15w to MagSafe. An 18w will work as well but will not provide for maximum charging speed, I think it tops out at 12w or thereabouts.
The MagSafe duo is another thing altogether. It requires usb c and 20w to function properly.

I use this from Anker.
