I'm looking for a very good pump driven espresso/coffee machine for Christmas. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars but with all the deals going on I'd like to pick up a normally priced $200/$300 machine for around $100/150. Any suggestions out there on a high quality machine?

I don't think you're going to find a VERY good combo anything, especially for that price. There are reasonable espresso machines that don't cost an arm and a leg, but none that I know of also make brewed coffee.

I agree with gauchogolfer though - $100 isn't going to get you 'very good' machine.

The rule of thumb is if you're on a budget to get a $400-$500 coffee grinder and then a $200 espresso machine.
