im looking for an app which I can record weights with.
Sets, reps and weight.

I guess it want a Strava for lifting.

Also what do people use to record the activity? I’ve only just started weights again and just used other in the watch workout app.

Gymaholic is my choice for weight-lifting before.

Now I found it just works fine with built-in Workout app. Choose "Other" as the activity type > when you have finished your workout, swipe right and tap End > scroll down and tap on Name Workout > choose Strength Training. Hope it helps.

The closest thing I’ve found to “Strava for lifting” would be Jefit.

Which looks pretty slick, BUT doesn’t have Apple HealthKit integration. And that was a no-go for me.

So I ended up purchasing a subscription to Strong instead. It’s a great app for recording your lifts (either from the Watch or the iPhone), and I’ve found it very easy to use. No social features, but it’s about as good as anything I’ve found so far. The auto warm-up calculation feature is pretty handy.

Fitbod is what I use. It generates workouts for you and you log them in and it writes it to the health app. That in turn will make it show up on the Apple Watch. A little less than $5/month if you pay annually. I love it.
