I have a lot of Flac files on hand, and unfortunatley iTunes does not support them. So I'm looking for a program similar to iTunes, that I can use Flac files with. Basically I'm looking for an app with a music library and a music player, so I can browse through my Flac files like you can with Mp3's on iTunes.

Anyone know of such a thing? Thanks!

I use xACT to convert my flac's to wav. Then I can burn to CD and / or export to itunes. Of course you can then add art. All the while maintaining a lossless format.

It appears that VLC can also transcode FLAC: go to File > Streaming/Exporting wizard...

If you don't want the bloat of getting a whole new player, check out Fluke. It lets you play FLAC right in iTunes

I think Banshee can also play FLAC files... I don't have personal experience with it, though.

Took a quick look at this, but the page isn't very descriptive. Can you then convert FLAC to Apple Lossless inside of iTunes?
