Looking for app like 'SelfControl' that temporarily locks down your machine

Is there a piece of software that you can lock your mac for a set period of time so it cannot be used. Kind of like SelfControl but for the whole computer? (not just the internet?)

Even if there were, you'd just restart your Mac when you got desperate.

Sounds like some the Parental Control could handle. Plus a lot of home routers have timers built into their settings.

I also have heard people praise Things.
