I just tried with a video BD I burned earlier which worked fine playing as a BD movie in a PS3, and I had no luck. I think it now accepts any kind of ordinary video file or DVD you put in, but is not yet configured to work with the BDMV file structure. My GGW-H20L, by the way, works very nicely with burning and whatnot in toast. Now, if only that software support was coming...

Yeah I thought the 0.9.3 Handbrake now accepts multiple sources, including a Blu-Ray. Am I wrong?

You cannot rip BD with Handbrake (that requires AnyDVD HD under Windows), but HB 0.9.3 will handle most Blu-ray rips with AC3 audio and some with DTS audio (use tsmuxer to extract from True-HD and DTS-HD). AC3 passthrough is supported by HB, but not DTS passthrough (yet).

You need to open the m2ts file in Handbrake.

If it's not encrypted, Plex should play it.

Provided that you actually have a ts stream to work with you need to boot Vista and download a small Program called ripbot 264 which you can officially find at doom9.org.
There are other h264 guis around but ripbot is the one that most closely resembles a fire and forget approach. While handbrake 0.93 can convert a br ts-stream it cannot output a avchd disc structure that you could burn onto br recordable or maybe dvd9 for playback in your PS3.
Also note that the PS3, as every other "official" AVCHD Player only supports two resolutions: 1280*720 and 1920*1080. Everything else will probably not play or result in ugly green beams.
Ripbot 264 handles the conversion AND AVCHD structure creation.
Toast 9 actually does have a menu entry that "should" create such a structure but I have never received a playable disc.
Ripbot 264 also includes the latest encoders and such that produce great results. Give it a try. You should also dl imgburn which is a freeware program that easily creates UDF 2.5 disks. You will need this format in order to actually playback your disk.
I have already contacted the creator of Ripbot 264 and asked him whether he´d be willing to program a os x port. Unfortunately, essential components such as frameservers are not available for the mac platform.
Hopefully the next update to Handbrake will offer us this.
