Hi. Does anyone here have experience with teleprompters?

I am looking to buy a teleprompter that uses an iPad for the text source.

As part of this, I am looking for a Bluetooth device that allows me to
- Start/stop text
- Manually scroll through the text - similar to the center disk wheel on a mouse

I saw a video online where someone was using a ASHATA Mini VR Remote Controller, Wireless Bluetooth Gamepad but the problem is that this only seems to be available on Amazon and I refuse to buy from Amazon!

I guess what I am really trying to figure out is...

1.) Are Bluetooth remote controllers fairly similar/interchangeable?

2.) Does iPadOS (or even iOS) typically support these Bluetooth remote controlelrs?

3.) Is compatability more a function of iPadOS or the teleprompter app you are using or both?

In an ideal world, my desired use-case is to have a tiny controller (e.g. car key-fob size) in my hand - out of frame - and be able to manually scroll through the text using my thumb at a pace that works for me. (If the text is scrolling automatically, I think it will sound like I am reading.)

Thanks!
