Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Mac mini 2018 (Macmini8,1) and I’m trying to install Windows through Boot Camp.
The problem is that modern Boot Camp packages no longer include the AppleSSD64 driver (AppleSSD64.inf/sys/cat) required for T2 Macs to recognize the internal SSD.

Without it, the Windows installer cannot see the internal drive at all.
Brigadier only downloads the newer, trimmed-down sets (≈600 MB), which don’t contain the storage drivers.

I have gone through all the threads here that seemed related to this issue, but I couldn’t find either a working link to the files or any alternative solution.

As far as I know, the full Boot Camp Support Software 6.1 (around 2019–2020, ~1.2–1.5 GB) used to include this driver.

👉 Does anyone here still have an archive of that full package, or a working mirror link (Google Drive / Mega / etc.)?
I’m specifically looking for the folder that contains:
- AppleSSD64.inf
- AppleSSD64.sys
- AppleSSD64.cat

Any help or pointers would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

If you search for an sucatalog, Apple's list of software updates, you can find a list of links to installers for all of the bootcamp driver installers. Here's a link to a github gist with a bunch of sucatalog links. From there, I downloaded it, unzipped it, then opened it in a text editor. I searched for BootCamp and copied the URL for a random one from 2019, BootCampESD.pkg (direct download link). Download that, extract the dmg from the pkg, then the files you are looking for are in /Volumes/Boot Camp/$WinPEDriver$/AppleSSD64.

I couldn't find a way to easily tell which version it is in the sucatalog, but the file /Volumes/Boot Camp/BootCamp/BootCamp.xml on the dmg says this version is 6.1.7269.

That was absolutely perfect — thank you! 🙏
I followed your steps: found the sucatalog link, grabbed the 2019 BootCampESD.pkg, extracted the dmg, and sure enough — the AppleSSD64 drivers were right there inside $WinPEDriver$.

The Windows installation on my Mac mini 2018 went through flawlessly, and everything’s running beautifully now.
Really appreciate how clearly you explained it — you saved me a ton of frustration. Thanks again for taking the time to help! 🌟

Are you running latest macOS Sequoia? Are you trying to install Windows 10?
I was actually planning to go with Sequoia at first, but in the end I installed Ventura instead — it’s noticeably faster on this Mac mini.
Then I went ahead and set up Windows 11 on top of that, and everything’s running great now.
Thanks a lot for asking and for jumping into the thread — really appreciate it! 😊
